If TweetDeck has stopped creating awe.sm links for you, please double-check that you are using the correct Endpoint, below.

You can configure TweetDeck Desktop to automatically create awe.sm tracking links whenever you publish a Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn update that contains a URL. In awe.sm, these links are attributed to the tool "tweetdeck".

The links that TweetDeck creates will all belong to one specific awe.sm project. Learn more about projects…

  • In awe.sm Project Settings, select the appropriate project. Make a note of its API Key, displayed in the dotted box.

  • In TweetDeck, navigate to Preferences
    TweetDeck Preferences

  • In Services, find the pulldown beside "Select the service you wish to use to shorten URLs." Select Other.

  • In the "URL Shortening Endpoint" box, paste this string: api.awe.sm/url.txt?v=3&channel=twitter&tool=m5NcYj&key=YOUR_API_KEY&url=%@ …replacing "YOUR_API_KEY" with your project's API key.
    • If you are an older awe.sm customer, you may have been using an endpoint that begins create.awe.sm/…. This endpoint no longer works. Please replace it with the updated endpoint here.
  •  In the main TweetDeck window, disable Auto URL Shortening.

  • In the composition window, links will appear in light gray…
